Engineering, College of Biomedical Engineering) and the Psychiatric Neuroscience Lab, led by Dr. Matteo Martino (Graduate Institute of Mind, Brain, and Consciousness) and Dr. Paola Magioncalda (International Master\/Ph.D. Program in Medicine, College of Medicine), at Taipei Medical University (TMU) are jointly recruiting a full-time postdoctoral researcher.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><u>Project description<\/u><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Our joint research investigates the neurobiological mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders, particularly bipolar successful candidate will contribute to the development of a novel neuroimmune animal model of bipolar disorder and to assess the therapeutic potential of platelet-derived secretome to promote white matter protection and neuroregeneration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This ambitious project offers a unique opportunity to work at the crossroads of psychiatric neuroscience, neuroimmunology, and transfusion and regenerative medicine, with the goal of developing a mechanistic model of bipolar disorder and pioneering novel therapeutic strategies within an internationally collaborative environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Design, conduct, and analyze mouse experiments within the scope of the research project.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct behavioral analyses to assess neurological function and disease progression.<\/li>\n<li>Perform immunohistochemistry and omics analyses for tissue characterization and protein expression analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and optimize experimental protocols and methodologies.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to data interpretation, manuscript preparation, and presentation of research findings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><u>Qualifications<\/u><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>D. in Neuroscience, Biotechnology, Biology, Immunology, or a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience with animal models and advanced microscopy.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interest in <strong>neuroimmune mechanisms and translational research<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><u>Terms of employment<\/u><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This is a full-time position with an initial one-year contract, renewable based on performance and project requirements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Salary will follow the Taipei Medical University
