Research Assistant Position at Taipei Medical University, Egger Lab

The Egger Lab at Taipei Medical University (TMU), under the direction of Dr. Seth Egger (Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences) is seeking a full-time Research Assistant.

The central goal of the lab is to understand how the circuitry of the brain allows for the execution of complex behaviors and the consequences of circuit dysfunction on mental health. To approach this question, we combine behavioral and physiological measurements from humans as well as animals.

This role involves managing and assisting with different aspects of experiments, including subject recruitment, scheduling, data collection, and analysis.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biology, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience conducting experiments in humans and/or animals and experience with programming in MATLAB and/or Python are desired. English and Mandarin communication skills are required.

The initial employment period for this position is 1 year, with the possibility of extension. We are seeking candidates that can start as soon as possible and no later than May 1st, 2026. Salary is in accordance with the TMU research assistant compensation standard plus health insurance and other benefits. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience and is subject to an annual increase.
