HR Announcement for Child Benefit-Please complete the online application and submit relevant documents to the Office of Human Resource

Dear Teachers and Staff Members:

The annual application for Child Care Subsidy for faculty and staff is now open!
With an aim to promote employment stability and reduce the financial burden of childcare, TMU continues to provide childcare subsidies.
Please complete the online application and submit relevant documents to the Office of Human Resource
for processing prior to 2024/01/11 (THU). Late applications will not be accepted.

Application criteria and related explanations are as follows:
Application Requirements
  1. If you are full-time teachers or staff (postdoctoral research fellow /Research assistants are not included) employed by
Taipei Medical University and have pre-school children aged 0-6 (not currently enrolled in elementary school)
→ you can apply for Basic Child Care Subsidy: Plan A.
  1. If your child is entrusted to the care of a registered child care facility, and you help enter a new contract with
the university or extend your contractother than the basic child care subsidy,
you will receive an incentive for signing the contract: Plan B.

Plan A: Apply for Basic Child Care Subsidy  Total 4 documents required.
Basic Qualifications Pre-school children aged 0-6 (not currently enrolled in elementary school)
Amount of Subsidy The actual amount of subsidy is determined by the number of applicants and the total budget for the year (the subsidy amount varies every year).

(If two If two or more children are eligible for application at the same time, please complete the online applications separately.)
2. Complete the Subsidy Application Attachment Checklist. (see the attachment)
3. Submit proof of family relationship: mark the child's name with a highlighter. (Household Certificate/ Household Registration Transcript)
4. Certificate of Child Care Service Provider for Children of Employed Persons + with the institution's seal. (see the attachment)
(Those with children entrusted to registered child care institutions are required to submit a copy; otherwise are exempted.)

Please use paper clips for the documents prepared, and do not use staples to bind. Thank you for your cooperation.
Explanation Those with children aged 0-6 year(s) old taken care of either by family members, private nannies, or registered child care facilities can all apply.

Plan B: Apply for Basic Child Care Subsidy+ Signing Incentive  Total 6 documents required.
Basic Qualifications You meet the above "Basic Child Care Subsidy" qualifications, and your child is entrusted to the care of a registered child care facility, and you help enter a new contract with the university or extend your contract, a contract-signing incentive will be granted.
Amount of Incentive The actual amount is determined by the number of applicants and the total budget for the year (the grant varies every year).

5. A copy of the Certificate of Incorporation of the Contracted Child Care Institution
6. Contract for Contracted Child Care Service Provider + with the institution's seal: two copies are required. (see the attachment)
(The termination date of this contract is basically 7.31.2024 or 12.31.2024.)

Explanation Your child aged 0-6 and is entrusted to the care of a registered child care facility (registered after school tutoring and talent class not included), and you help enter a new contract with the university or extend your contract. May apply for Basic Child Care Subsidy+ Signing Incentive
Notes
[1] If two or more children are eligible for application at the same time, please complete the online applications separately.
[2] The actual amount of subsidy is determined by the number of applicants and the total budget for the year. (The subsidy amount varies every year.)
[3] If both husband and wife are faculty or staff members of the University, only one of them may apply for the subsidy.
[4] Those who are currently receiving child care leave allowances are not allowed to apply for this subsidy.
[5] Teachers in the medical departments should choose to apply for one of the child care subsidy programs offered by the university and affiliated hospitals.
