New Hire Information

Pre-Employment Preparation

I. Pre-Employment Physical Examination

According to Article 20 and Article 46 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Article 16 of the Labor Health Protection Regulations, new employees must complete a physical examination before the start date.

    1. Applicable Personnel:
      • All newly hired faculty and staff.
      • Excludes temporary or short-term workers employed for less than six months.
    2. Designated Hospitals:
      • It is recommended to undergo the examination at the university-affiliated hospitals:
        • Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH) – register under Family Medicine.
        • Wanfang Hospital or Shuang Ho Hospital – contact their Health Management Center.
      • If unable to visit a university-affiliated hospital, please undergo the examination at a medical institution recognized by the Ministry of Labor.

II. Pre-Employment Occupational Safety and Health Training

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Act, all new employees must complete 3 hours of safety and health training before starting work, which includes:

    1. Online Training (2 hours):
      • Complete the courses on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s digital learning platform.
      • Print the learning record and submit it to the Office of HR on the first day.
    2. In-Person Training (1 hour):
      • Conducted on the first day of employment, covering workplace safety and regulations.

III. Foreign Academic Credentials

If the highest academic degree was obtained from a foreign institution, it is a must  to  complete the degree verification process first.

To meet the operational needs of the unit while considering individual needs, new employees may apply for flexible working hours.

Temporary Campus Access Card Application

  • Download the application form from:
    • Office of General Affairs  → Affairs Section → Forms Download.
  • Submit the supervisor-approved form to the Affairs Section for processing.
  • One of the following can be useed:
    • Bring personal EasyCard for on-site setup.
    • Purchase a temporary access card (Contact: Mr. Ching-Wan Lee, Ext. 2912).

Vehicle and Motorcycle Parking Permit
