Job Description
Taipei Medical University (TMU) invites applications from highly motivated scholars with a Ph.D. and an outstanding record of academic achievement in biology, biomedical sciences, medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline.
The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate strong research potential and contribute to TMU’s international research profile through high-quality research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and engagement with the global academic community. Candidates with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-disciplinary research environment are particularly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be appointed to the College of Pharmacy at Taipei Medical University.
Salary
$83,720NTD~ $198,770NTD per month + benefits
Selection Criteria
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in biology, biomedical sciences, medical sciences, or a related discipline, with a strong record of academic and research achievement.
- Preference will be given to candidates with expertise and research experience in one or more of the following areas: genomics, genetic counseling, population genetics, genetic epidemiology, and translational medicine. A strong publication record in high-impact international journals is highly desirable.
- At least one year of postdoctoral research training in a relevant field is required.
- Demonstrated ability to teach courses in English (English as a Medium of Instruction, EMI), with a strong commitment to innovative teaching, interdisciplinary research, and collaborative teamwork.
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding and experience in developing and conducting large-scale research projects. Experience in independent research, international research collaboration, and participation in international academic activities will be considered an advantage.
- A strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and the cultivation of future talent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative and interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience in international academic exchange and collaboration, with the ability to contribute to the University’s international research and academic networks.
- Excellent English proficiency, strong research motivation, and a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence.
